The Prison Project

The Actors’ Gang Prison Project is a nationally recognized rehabilitation program currently running in 13 California state prisons, 2 Reentry facilities and Los Angeles County Probation camps and halls for youth. Our program starts as a 7-day, 4-hours a day intensive theatrical arts program managed by the program director and overseen by The Actors’ Gang teaching artists.

Adult Acting Classes

Our adult classes are a way for us to introduce our signature way of working to others. Based in the belief that important stories have important states of emotion, we work toward creating pure moments of truth on stage, using ensemble movement, generosity, trust, and emotional honesty.

Free Shakespeare in the Park

Since 2006, every summer we have gathered with our community for our Free Shakespeare in the Park. Over 30,000 community members across Los Angeles have come together and shared joy with each other. This summer is the first one when we are not able to gather and celebrate each together and, oh, how much we miss you. But it’s all in the spirit of love as we are all working towards being able to meet again in the safe and magical world of theater.

Pay What You Can

Every season, with our donor’s support, we are able to provide hundreds of Pay What You Can tickets to members of our community who would not otherwise have access to theater.
