    The L.A. based Actors’ Gang began touring its productions throughout the world to critical acclaim in 1989, representing the US at the Edinburgh Festival with its original production of Carnage: a Comedy before moving to the Public Theater in New York. Since then, the company has toured in Europe, Asia, Australia, Central, and South America, and throughout the US with productions such as 1984, The Trial of the Catonsville 9, The Guys, The Exonerated, and Embedded. In 2004, The Actors' Gang performed its original production of Embeddedan anti-Iraq war satire to four months of sold-out houses at New York's Public Theater, and in 2001 Bat Boy: The Musical won the Lucille Lortel Award and Outer Critics Circle Award for Best New Musical off-Broadway.

    The Actors’ Gang has visited over 20 countries around the world.

    Most recently, The Actors’ Gang production of A Midsummer Night's Dream performed in Sibiu and Bucharest, Romania in 2016. Harlequino: On to Freedom, an original new work, and 1984 performed at the Spoleto Festival in Italy in 2016, as well as toured throughout China. Another original new work by The Actors' Gang, The New Colossus, toured across Chile, Argentina, in 2019 and the United States in 2020. Performed in twelve languages, and accompanied by live music, The New Colossus follows the true stories of a dozen refugees whose desperate families fled their countries of origin to escape oppression and were drawn to the United States by the promise of America. The New Colossus asks the timely, essential question: Who are we as a nation?
